How To Lose Weight With The Zone Lifestyle Diet

Under the program, you eat five times each day (three meals and two snacks), never letting more than five hours pass without consuming food. If you get eight hours of sleep every night, this means taking breakfast within one hour of waking up, eating lunch within five hours after breakfast, a snack within five hours after your lunch, dinner within two or three hours of snack, and a late night snack right before bed.
Most of the foods consumed on the Zone program include lean cuts of meat, such as chicken or fish and other sources of protein, plenty of vegetables and fruits, and a limited amount of carbs. Cereals, breads, sugar, rice, and potatoes are the kinds of carb rich foods that dieters are to avoid eating, but can enjoy once in awhile. Dieters must also try not to eat pre-packaged foods and food with a high sodium content.
Exercise is another key aspect of the Zone diet. The plan suggests moderate intensity physical exercise for thirty minutes every day, six days a week. Exercise is supposed to enhance the effectiveness of the Zone diet plan. Other things that are supposed to increase the effectiveness of the diet include taking nutritional supplements and vitamins.
